Klassisk i Baggården: Sangens forunderlige verden

Mogens Dahl Concert Hall presents Klassisk i Baggården – Young Soloists Live, a new concert format for a young and curious audience, featuring some of the most exciting young classical musicians on stage.
This is a chance to meet some of the most promising young Nordic soloists and ensembles in an informal concert setting, where intimacy, communication and a sense of community are just as important as virtuosity. The musicians introduce the music themselves, sharing their thoughts on the works, their own experiences of performing them, and what to listen out for.
After the concert, the conversation continues in a moderated session, giving the audience an opportunity to get closer to both the music and the people behind it.

ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
Love, longing, humour and heartbreak. Classical music rarely feels more human than when expressed through the voice, and song gives words to so much of what we all wrestle with.
This evening brings it all together. Danish singers Louise McClelland – known to many from DR’s Den næste diva – and Asmus Hanke, joined by Laurits Dragsted at the piano, invite us into the extraordinary world of song: from the grand emotions and dramatic duets of the opera stage to intimate stories for voice and piano.
